Description
Boltline — Football Diagrams, Exercises and Tactics
Boltline is a football app designed for working with tactical diagrams, training exercises, and player positioning on the field. The interface is organized around a visual representation of the pitch, sequential tasks, and a guide to football concepts. Users can open individual exercises, review the starting positions of players, and complete the suggested sequence of actions.
The main Train section contains the available training scenarios. Each exercise is presented on a separate card with its name, a brief explanation, a field diagram, and current progress. The number of completed stages is also displayed, allowing users to track their progress within each scenario.
In Boltline, the football field serves as the main visual element. Positions are represented by circular markers with abbreviated roles, while lines and zones help users understand player placement. This format makes it possible to work with diagrams without overloading the screen with additional elements.
One of the available exercises focuses on moving the ball from one side of the field to the other before performing the next action. The diagram shows the starting positions and the direction in which the play develops. Once the exercise is completed, it can be started again.
Some training blocks are divided into several consecutive tasks. For example, The Half-Space scenario includes Into the Channel, Cutback, Pin the Full-Back, Inverted Winger, and Low Block, No Gaps. Each item displays its number and current progress status.
During an active exercise, Boltline opens an expanded view of the field. The top of the screen displays the task name, current step number, and total number of stages. This makes it easy to identify which part of the exercise is currently active.
Markers representing players in different positions appear on the field. Users interact with the available points according to the requirements of the current task. After successfully completing a step, they can continue to the next part of the scenario.
A short text below the diagram explains the current situation. It indicates the required action or the area of the field that needs attention. Additional indicators display task parameters and provide useful information during each exercise.
The app includes various themed scenarios. These cover movement between lines, use of available space, player positioning, ball movement, and other situations presented through diagrams and short interactive tasks.
The Playbook section works as a structured reference guide. It includes football concepts and brief explanations of different situations. Available topics include Breaking Lines, Between the Lines, The Half-Space, Third-Man Run, Pinning, Switch of Play, Pressing Trap, Cutback, and Rest Defence.
Each Playbook item is displayed in a separate row.
Boltline also includes the Matchday section, available from the main navigation alongside Train and Playbook.
Training progress is displayed separately for different exercises.
The Boltline interface is organized around a dark football field, position markers, exercise lists, short instructions, and progress indicators.
Boltline combines interactive football diagrams, sequential training tasks, visual position layouts, progress tracking, and a Playbook with themed reference material. Review diagrams, complete available steps, return to previous exercises, and work with different football situations in one app.
