GoLive Co-Host

GoLive Co-Host lets you join a live radio or online show as a co-host from wherever you are, using only your phone. YOU NEED AN INVITE FROM A GOLIVE STATION This app does not work on its own. The station running the show (the "studio") sends you a 6-digit join code or a join link. Open the link or type the code and you are in. No account, no sign-up, no password. HOW IT WORKS • Enter the code, or tap the link the studio shared. • Type your name. The studio sees it. • Do a quick mic check and see whether your headphones are connected. • Agree to the Co-Host rules and tap "Join the show". You hear the show and the studio hears you. • The studio decides when you are live: - In cue: the studio hears you, the audience does not. - On air: you are live on the show. Speak naturally. - On hold: wait a moment, the studio will bring you back. • The studio can talk to you off air (talkback). • Mute and Leave are on the screen and in the notification, and the call keeps running with the screen off. • If your network drops, the app reconnects by itself. PLEASE USE HEADPHONES Wired headphones sound best. Without headphones the studio may hear an echo of the show, so keep the phone volume low. Bluetooth headphones work but add a little delay. A steady Wi-Fi or 4G connection gives the best result. RESPECTFUL SHOWS Every co-host agrees to the Co-Host rules: no harassment, hate, sexual content, threats, illegal content or spam. The studio runs its show live and can remove a co-host at any time. Tap "Report a problem" to tell us about abuse, and block a station so its shows can't be joined from your phone. YOUR VOICE AND YOUR DATA • Your voice goes live, through the GoLive media server, to the studio and the co-hosts of the show you joined. When the studio puts you On air, your voice is part of a public broadcast, and the station may record its show. • The app itself never records your voice. • The studio sees the name you enter. Our join service keeps a log of each join (the name, network address and time). • No ads, no in-app purchases, no account.
