Checking the weather should feel a little like looking up at the sky. Commune Sky is a thoughtfully designed weather app for Android. Instead of showing you just numbers, it brings the atmosphere outside to life on your screen. Sunny mornings, cloudy afternoons, rainy evenings and starry nights... The sky changes with local weather conditions and the time of day. Clouds drift, rain and snow appear, and the colors shift at sunset. At night, the Moon appears in its real phase. Sometimes you can get a feel for the day before reading a single number. FORECASTS SUITED TO YOUR LOCATION Weather is local, so the best source of information can vary from place to place. Commune Sky uses data from the Turkish State Meteorological Service (MGM) in Türkiye, Météo-France in France, Met Office models in the United Kingdom, and suitable weather models in other regions. Where possible, the app compares forecasts with nearby weather station observations and works to identify sources that perform better in your area. You can also see where the weather data comes from. BRING THE SKY TO YOUR HOME SCREEN Make the weather your own with 10 widget types and more than 30 styles. Choose clocks, current conditions, hourly and weekly forecasts, upcoming rain, saved places, daily suggestions and more. Customize backgrounds, colors, transparency and text size, with a live preview of every change. ALERTS ON YOUR TERMS Notifications are off by default. Turn on MGM weather warnings, air quality alerts or morning and evening summaries whenever you like. Choose the warning levels and places that matter to you. FAST, SIMPLE AND PRIVACY-CONSCIOUS No ads. No account required. No tracking or analytics tools. Your latest forecast is stored on your device, so you can still check it without an internet connection. Location permission is optional: you can search for cities and follow saved places without sharing your current location. Approximate location information may be shared with weather data providers when needed to deliver forecasts. Your location history and saved places are not collected by the developer. Commune Sky is an open-source Android app created by a single independent developer. Available in English, Turkish and French, it continues to grow through new ideas and improvements.
