Description

UHF RFID inventory demo for an AIRSTANDARD Air73 Bluetooth reader on your phone.

Inventory Demo (BT) turns an ordinary Android phone into the screen for an AIRSTANDARD Air73 Bluetooth UHF RFID reader. Find the Air73 nearby, connect, and start reading tags in a few taps. It is intended for customers and developers who want to see how a phone app talks to an AIRSTANDARD Bluetooth reader through the AIRSTANDARD SDK. IMPORTANT: This app requires AIRSTANDARD Air73 hardware. The Air73 is a Bluetooth RFID reader (sled) without its own screen; this app runs on your Android phone (Android 8.0 or later with Bluetooth) and controls the Air73 over a classic Bluetooth (SPP) connection. Without an Air73 the app can search for readers but cannot read tags. How it works 1. Turn on the Air73 (unplug the USB data cable; Bluetooth is disabled while it is connected). 2. Open the app and tap Search. Nearby Air73 readers appear in the list. 3. Pick your reader and confirm. The app connects and opens the inventory screen, with the reader name shown under the title. Readers you have connected before are kept in a list for quick reconnection, and the list can be cleared at any time. Search time and connection timeout can be adjusted on the same screen. On the inventory screen - Start and stop inventory with the on-screen button or the trigger on the Air73. - Each tag (PC + EPC) is listed with its RSSI and read count; unique tags, total reads, elapsed time and read speed are updated live. - Sort the list and set options such as filter, continuous mode, sound and highlight. - Adjust RF power (dBm) and, in runtime settings, RF channel, antenna, session, target, Q value, RSSI filter and selection masks. - Tag trace: follow the RSSI and phase of a single tag from the tag menu. - Save the tag list as an Excel (.xls) file to a location you choose, or clear it. - Disconnect from the menu to return to the reader list. If the link drops, the app tells you and goes back to the reader list. - Available in English, Korean, Japanese and Simplified Chinese. What this app does not do This app only demonstrates Bluetooth inventory. Reading or writing tag memory, locking tags, barcode scanning, Excel list matching and the built-in reader of the Air82 handheld are covered by other AIRSTANDARD demo apps, each published separately. Permissions and privacy - Nearby devices (Android 12 and later): to search for and connect to the Air73. Declared as not used to derive location. - Location (Android 11 and earlier only): those Android versions require it for Bluetooth device search. The app never reads your location. - Wi-Fi state: read by the reader connection library while preparing the device search; no Wi-Fi connection is made. - Vibration and wake lock: read feedback and keeping the device awake during a read. The app has no internet permission and does not collect or transmit any data. The list of previously connected readers stays on your phone. Files are saved only where you choose through the system file picker. About AIRSTANDARD AIRSTANDARD develops RFID and barcode reader hardware and SDKs.
