Description

Connect an AIRSTANDARD Air73 RFID reader by typing its Bluetooth MAC address.

BT MAC Demo shows how to connect to one specific reader when several are nearby: type the Bluetooth MAC address printed on the AIRSTANDARD Air73 label and the app connects to exactly that unit, then opens an RFID inventory screen. Use it where many readers share one room, or to demonstrate address-based pairing in your own app. IMPORTANT: This app requires AIRSTANDARD Air73 hardware. The Air73 is a Bluetooth UHF RFID reader (sled) without its own screen; this app runs on your Android phone (Android 8.0 or later with Bluetooth) and controls the Air73 over classic Bluetooth (SPP). Without an Air73 the app can check an address and search, but cannot connect or read tags. Connecting by address 1. Turn on the Air73 (unplug the USB data cable; Bluetooth is disabled while it is connected). 2. Type the 12 hex digits of its address. Upper or lower case, with colons, hyphens, dots or nothing in between; the app shows it back as AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF. 3. Tap Connect. The app searches for that address, shows the elapsed seconds and can be cancelled. It stops after 45 seconds with a message naming the address. - Malformed addresses, or addresses that cannot belong to a reader such as 00:00:00:00:00:00, are refused immediately. - Readers you connected before are listed for one-tap reconnection; the last address is offered next time, and the list can be deleted at any time. After connecting - The inventory screen opens directly: start and stop with the on-screen button or the Air73 trigger, with unique tags, total reads, elapsed time and read speed. - RF power, sorting and filter options, selection mask, tag trace, clear and save the tag list as .xls. - Disconnect from the menu to return to the address screen. - Available in English, Korean, Japanese and Simplified Chinese. What this app does not do It does not browse a list of discovered devices, reconnect automatically at start-up, or read, write or lock tag memory. Those are covered by other AIRSTANDARD demo apps, each published separately. Permissions and privacy - Nearby devices (Android 12 and later): to search for and connect to the Air73. Declared as not used to derive location. - Location (Android 11 and earlier only): those Android versions require it for Bluetooth device search. The app never reads your location. - Wi-Fi state: read by the reader connection library while preparing the device search; no Wi-Fi connection is made. - Vibration and wake lock: feedback and keeping the device awake during work. The app has no internet permission and does not collect or transmit any data. The last address you typed and the list of previously connected readers stay on your phone. Files are saved only where you choose through the system file picker. About AIRSTANDARD AIRSTANDARD develops RFID and barcode reader hardware and SDKs.
