Measure your light in Kelvin from a grey card, with gel tips and light matching
White Balance measures the colour temperature of your light. Point your phone at a grey or white card under the light, fill the square, and read the Kelvin live.
Most phone cameras correct a grey card towards neutral before an app ever sees it. White Balance fixes the camera's white balance, and on phones that share RAW sensor data it reads the card before any correction at all, using the phone maker's own colour calibration. So the number follows your light, not the phone.

Good to know
Phones differ, so for the best numbers calibrate once against a light with a known rating, and check with a test shot. A few phones do not let apps fix white balance. On those the reading is rough, and the app tells you so.

What's new
White Balance now measures your light. It fixes the camera white balance, and reads RAW sensor data on phones that allow it, so the reading follows the light, not the phone's own correction.
New: a live reading with Hold, warnings for dark or clipped cards, and Kelvin or mired units.
Pro adds gel stacks with where the light will land, green and magenta tips, Compare two lights, saved readings and two light calibration. Please calibrate again after updating.
