Chess against 15 computer levels, 30,000 puzzles, lessons and games with friends
Classic chess on a clear board. Play the computer at a level that fits you, solve puzzles, learn the rules step by step, or share one link to play a friend.
Play the computer
• 15 levels, from someone who just learned the moves to a strong club player. The levels were measured against each other, so each step is a real step up.
• Not sure where to start? Answer one question and the app suggests a level. Lose a few games and it offers an easier one, and tells you so.
• You can always undo, at no cost. Hints cost a star on that game, nothing else.
• Draws explain themselves on the board: stalemate, repetition, the 50-move rule and not enough material.
• Chess960, handicap games, a timer if you want one and blindfold mode.
Puzzles
• More than 30,000 puzzles in three levels, picked near your puzzle rating
• A daily puzzle with a streak
• Three-minute puzzles and Survival: three mistakes and the run is over
Learn
• 15 short lessons from how the pieces move to castling, en passant and stalemate
• 5 practice drills and a coordinates trainer
After the game
• Go back through any finished game with move grades, accuracy and an evaluation graph
• Analysis board, board editor, and FEN or PGN import
• Share the game as PGN or the board as a picture
Play a friend
• Two players on one phone, with the board turning each move if you like
• Online with a friend: send one link. Your friend can join in the app or in a web browser.
Also
• Four board colors and a high-contrast board
• Your finished games are saved on the phone
• 75 languages
• Works offline, no account needed
Ads and Ad-free pass
An ad may show before a game you start, never during a game. Short videos are optional and give you extra puzzle hints.
The Ad-free pass lasts 1 week, 3 months or 1 year. You pay once and it does not renew on its own. While it lasts there are no ads at all, not even optional videos, and when you run out of puzzle hints you get 3 more, once a day.
