Convert text and character codes; explore ASCII, Base64, Morse, and Unicode.
Convert text to binary, hexadecimal, octal, and decimal character codes in one workspace. ASCII Converter helps students explore character representation and gives developers a practical place to check encoded text.
SEE TEXT AND CODES TOGETHER
Type in any of the five fields and the other representations update. Enter space-separated codes to return to readable text, or load an example to see how A becomes decimal 65 and hexadecimal 41. Copy an individual field or share its contents.
ASCII covers values 0-127. Beyond that range, the main converter uses UTF-16 code units from 0-65535, so an emoji can occupy two units.
LOOK UP AND INSPECT CHARACTERS
Browse all 128 ASCII entries with decimal, binary, hex, and octal values. Search for a character or code and narrow the table to letters, numbers, punctuation, controls, or whitespace. Tap a character to open its details.
The character inspector shows a Unicode code point, UTF-8 bytes, and UTF-16 units alongside numeric representations. It displays the first 200 code points of entered text; combined emoji can contain several code points.
ENCODE AND DECODE TEXT
Choose Base64, URL components, HTML entities, or Morse code, then select a direction and convert. Base64 supports UTF-8 text, including emoji. Morse supports A-Z, digits, and common punctuation, with uppercase decoded results. Encoding changes representation; it is not password encryption.
KEEP USEFUL RESULTS
Import a UTF-8 .txt file up to 256 KB and export a selected conversion or encoding result as a .txt file through the device's save/share options. Recent conversions and favorites stay on this device. Reopen saved work, remove entries, or clear history. The library holds up to 50 recent entries and 100 favorites, with a 20,000-character limit per saved entry.
MORE WAYS TO WORK WITH TEXT
Browse 329 text faces, copy or share a face, and favorite the ones you reuse. For password-protected messages, encrypt and decrypt text with AES-256-GCM. New encryption needs a password of at least 12 characters; decryption needs the complete message and original password. A legacy option decodes older character-shift messages. Forgotten passwords cannot be recovered.
