Tower defense: stop rubber-suit kaiju with sushi cannons. Quiet on set!
Kaiju Kitchen is a tower defense game where the towers are Japanese food. You're the new director of the campiest kaiju movie ever made — and the only crew still on payroll is catering.
Rubber-suit monsters are wading out of Tokyo Bay and stomping toward a city made of cardboard and glitter. Line the road with food and hold the line:
🫛 Edamame Gun — fast beans that hit flying puppets
🍜 Udon Lasso — tangles kaiju in noodles and slows them down
🍣 Sushi Cannon — nigiri splash that flattens whole crowds
🍤 Tempura Fryer — hot oil bursts in every direction
🌿 Wasabi Mortar — long-range lobs that burn (no healing!)
🍵 Matcha Beam — pierces the whole line and ignores armor
🐱 Lucky Neko — waves its paw and money appears
It's tower defense strategy with a sense of humor: armored crabs, flying puppets and big crowds each call for a different dish.
Meet the cast: Gobble (the director's nephew), Crabbo (two stuntmen in one suit), Blorp (a trash bag of lime jelly), Dustwing (a puppet on very visible wires), Mossback the grandpa turtle, Gulpo the method actor — and the stars: Goromaru, Oni-Kani and the one and only King Goromaru, in a bigger suit.
