Coin Identifier: Scan & Value

Found an odd coin in your pocket change? Point your camera at it and see what it is, how rare it is and what it sells for. Every value comes with its source and the date it was checked. CHECK YOUR CHANGE Scan a penny, nickel or quarter, or a UK 50p, £2, £1 or 10p. In a few seconds you get the coin's name, year and mint mark, a rarity band, a value range and a plain answer: keep it or spend it. VALUES YOU CAN CHECK Each value is a range taken from a named public page, shown with the source and the date we checked it. Most coins in your pocket are worth their face value, and the app tells you so. For a coin that is worth more, you also see how many were struck. A price depends on the condition of your coin and on who is buying. The ranges are a guide, not a promise or an offer to buy. MINT MARKS AND OTHER SIDES The mint mark can change a coin's value a lot. The app asks you to confirm it, and you can change it. Some quarters have the design on one side and the year on the other, so the app can ask to see the other side. OTHER COINS TOO Scan a coin from anywhere else in the world and the app gives an AI estimate. It is marked "AI estimate, not verified" and looks different from a checked value, so you can always tell them apart. KNOW WHAT TO LOOK FOR For coins with known errors and varieties, a checklist shows what to look for and what it is worth. BUILD YOUR SETS Browse a library of more than 1,100 US and UK coins by design, year and mint mark. Follow ready-made sets, such as 50 State Quarters, American Women Quarters and Wheat cents, and see your progress as "12 of 29". Start your own collections too. The library, the sets and your collections are free. HOME SCREEN AND SHARING Home screen widgets show the set you are closest to finishing and your last find. Share a find as a picture with your own photo, its name and its value range. Turn on the optional notification and hear when new coins are added. YOUR PHOTOS Your photos stay on your phone. When you scan, the photo is sent to an AI service (Anthropic's Claude) to read the coin, for that scan only, and the app asks for your OK before the first scan. We do not keep it. You do not need an account, and you can delete your data in Settings. FREE SCANS AND PREMIUM You get 3 free scans. After that, Premium lets you scan up to 50 coins a day. Choose a yearly plan with a 3-day free trial, or a weekly plan. The price is shown in the app before you subscribe. Subscriptions are billed through Google Play. A subscription renews automatically until you cancel it in Google Play, under Payments and subscriptions. Cancel before the end of the free trial to avoid being charged.
