Velvet Parry

Velvet Parry is a reaction-and-timing game set in a theatrical fencing hall. The opponent announces an attack lane before striking. Watch the preparation, wait for the NOW cue and tap the matching parry control. A correct parry creates a short opening for a riposte. Score enough touches before taking four wounds to win the bout. READ BEFORE YOU REACT Each exchange begins with a preparation phase labeled LEFT, HIGH or RIGHT. The announced lane tells you which control you will need, but the attack has not arrived yet. Pressing a parry too early costs a wound. When the display changes to NOW, the corresponding parry must be pressed within the attack window. Choosing the wrong lane or missing that window also costs a wound and begins the next exchange. USE THE OPENING After a successful parry, the opponent is briefly open. Press RIPOSTE during that opening to score one touch. If you wait too long, the opening closes without awarding a point and the duel continues. Tapping riposte before a successful parry has no effect. The touch count and wound count remain visible throughout the bout, so you can judge how much room you have for another mistake. CHANGE THE TEMPO Fifty bouts vary the cue sequence, preparation timing, attack window and required touches. Later groups narrow the parry window. Every bout has been checked with a correctly timed sequence of parries and ripostes. Gentle timing slows all phases while preserving their order, giving you more time to react. Pausing or backgrounding the app stops the duel clock. Silver fencing equipment, rose highlights and dark velvet curtains frame the three large lane controls and the separate riposte action. YOUR COLLECTION The main menu has Play, Settings, How to Play and Exit. Play opens a themed collection with Continue and five pages of ten challenges. Every challenge can be selected from the beginning; there are no unlock payments or waiting periods. Continue restarts the most recently selected challenge rather than restoring a partly completed attempt. Completion marks and the last selected challenge are saved on the device. After a success you can advance, replay the same challenge or return to the collection. COMFORT AND LOCAL PLAY Settings include reduced decorative motion and stronger panel contrast. A gentle-timing option affects the physics and fencing games; turn-based challenges already wait for your input. The interface and instructions are in English. No account, advertisements, purchases or internet connection are required. There are no online opponents, rankings or cloud saves. Clearing the app's data removes its stored progress and preferences.
