Colorblind Vision

Colorblind Vision shows you how people with color blindness see the world, live through your camera. It also screens your own color vision and helps you tell colors apart. SEE • Simulate protanopia, deuteranopia, tritanopia and achromatopsia in real time, using published research models (Machado 2009, Brettel 1997) • Drag the split line to compare typical and colorblind vision side by side • Set the severity slider anywhere from mild to complete • Highlight: pick a color and fade everything else to grey, with optional stripes • Enhance: shift colors you'd confuse further apart, tuned for red–green or blue–yellow • Name: point at anything to hear its everyday color name MATCH? Pin one color, point at another, and get a plain answer: same, close or different. It also warns you when a pair is one colorblind eyes often mix up, like a green shirt and brown pants. TEST • A plate test where you trace the number you see, with results plate by plate • An adaptive cone contrast test that checks red, green and blue sensitivity separately • Color Duel: two people trace the same plates and find out whose eyes see what • Share a results card LEARN Short lessons on how color vision works, how common color blindness is, each type, designing for color blindness, everyday tips and more, with sources you can read. FOR EVERYONE • Works offline, and photos never leave your device • No ads, no accounts, no tracking • Save or share what you see Colorblind Vision is a screening and learning tool. It isn't a medical diagnosis. See an eye care professional for that.
