Mô tả

Fermentation log, kitchen jars, daily check-ins, and care reminders

Brine Clock is an app for keeping a home fermentation journal where you can create individual jar records, monitor their condition, log daily check-ins, and follow changes throughout the process. The main tools are organized around active batches, their parameters, and observation history. The main screen displays the current season day and a list of active jars. Each batch shows its name, key parameters, temperature, a short condition summary, and the number of days in progress. This makes it easy to review active records in one place and quickly open a specific jar. In Brine Clock, every batch has its own card. It displays the fermentation day, brine details, current conditions, and the most recently recorded status. A visual indicator provides a quick overview of the process and helps identify which jars are ready for another check-in. Opening an individual record provides more detailed information. The screen shows the batch name, current day, brine parameters, and the latest observations. From here, users can start a new check-in or review previous entries. Daily check-ins provide a structured way to record the condition of a jar. Users can select characteristics for the surface, smell, and bubble activity. Each category includes predefined options, making it possible to record observations without writing a lengthy description. For the surface, users can note its appearance and any visible changes. Smell characteristics and the level of bubble activity can be recorded separately. A temperature slider can be used to record room conditions, while an optional text field provides space for taste notes or other observations. After a check-in is completed, Brine Clock provides a concise summary of the current condition. The saved entry becomes part of the history for that specific jar, allowing observations from different days to be reviewed and compared over time. The Kitchen Jars screen contains the batches currently being tracked. Each card displays the name, type, current day, and a brief status. From this screen, users can open an existing record or create a new jar. Reminders are available for regular check-ins. Users can enable a daily reminder and select a convenient time to review their jars. These settings are stored alongside the rest of the journal preferences and help maintain a consistent observation routine. Brine Clock also allows users to record storage conditions. Available options can describe where a jar is being kept based on temperature and location. This provides additional context for each check-in and keeps environmental information together with other observations. The journal for an individual batch contains previous entries organized by day. Users can review changes in surface condition, activity, temperature, and other recorded characteristics. This keeps the history of the entire process connected to the relevant jar. The main screen also helps organize current batches by status and highlights records that may require attention. Compact indicators next to each jar provide access to important information without requiring users to open every detailed record. Brine Clock brings together home batch records, brine parameters, daily check-ins, temperature entries, notes, reminders, and observation history. Users can create jar records, document their current condition, review previous entries, and maintain a structured journal for each batch separately.
