Word Collector turns the words you don't know into your own vocabulary notebook, right where you read them. Save a word from a web page, ebook, news story, social post or paper book together with its sentence, source and part of speech, then learn it with spaced repetition flashcards. Study any of 59 languages. No account needed, and no limit on words or decks. These aren't words from someone else's list. They are the ones you met in your own reading, so you remember where you saw them. COLLECT FROM THE APP YOU'RE READING • Text selection: pick "Collect word" from the selection menu. A small sheet opens over your current app. Save and you're back in your reading. • Share: share from your browser or news app, and the page title and URL stay with the word as its source. • Copy: where text can't be selected, copy it, then tap the Quick Settings tile or the optional notification. Your clipboard is read only when you tap. • Paste a passage or type a word by hand. TAP THE WORDS YOU DON'T KNOW Share or paste a long passage and every word becomes tappable. Tap one and the sentence it came from is saved as an example. Select phrases and idioms with two taps or a long press. Languages without spaces, such as Japanese, Chinese and Thai, are split into words, and line breaks from PDF text are cleaned up. Words you already collected are highlighted, so new reading doubles as review. BUILD EVERY WORD YOUR WAY Keep the meaning, pronunciation, part of speech, noun gender, as many translated examples as you like, tags, notes, a deck and favorites. Collect a word again and it won't duplicate: its "times met" count goes up, and a passage adds its new sentence. For English, Word Collector suggests the part of speech and base forms such as studies → study. ON-DEVICE TRANSLATION AND QUICK LOOKUP Install translation data (about 30 MB per language) to draft translations of words and examples on your device. It downloads only when you ask. "Look up" opens the dictionary and translation apps on your device or major web dictionaries. Copy a translation, come back, and one tap puts it in the meaning field. SPACED REPETITION FLASHCARDS Four answer buttons, based on SM-2, set the next review and show its date before you press. Cards marked "Again" return at the end of the session, and you can undo a mistaken press. Study word to meaning, meaning to word or mixed, and choose your daily new word count. New words start with the ones you meet most often. Practice any time without changing your schedule. TEXT TO SPEECH Hear words and examples in your device's voices, or slow down a word. FIND AND ORGANIZE Filter by part of speech, deck, status, tag or source. Sort by newest, A to Z, most met, next review or hardest. Hide learned words, edit many at once, and search everything. STATS, REMINDERS AND WIDGET Track your streak, daily chart, calendar, accuracy and hardest words. Turn on a reminder that only arrives when reviews are waiting, or a morning Word of the Day, and add the Word of the Day widget to your home screen.
