A logic puzzle under a planetarium dome. The grid is split into outlined regions, and every row, every column and every region must hold the same number of stars. Two stars may never touch, not even at the corners. Each grid has exactly one solution.
Lights dim
Tap a cell once for a dot, twice for a star, again to clear it; a long press places a star straight away. Dots appear around each fresh star, clashes glow red, and you can undo, clear the grid or ask for a hint.
The dome opens
The star chart holds six constellations with six puzzles each, 36 in all. Lyra starts at 5×5, then Cassiopeia, Cygnus and Orion grow to 8×8 with one star per line. Ursa Major at 9×9 and Scorpius at 10×10 ask for two per line. Each constellation map is drawn in its real shape, and the lines light up as you solve.
Overhead tonight
Daily sky serves one fresh puzzle each day, sized by the weekday from 6×6 to 9×9, and keeps your quickest time for every date.
Three marks of light
Every solved chart gets up to three rating stars: all three come from finishing quickly with no hints.
A question from the dark
The sky quiz has ten questions a round from 24 real facts: Sirius, Polaris, the Summer Triangle, Antares, Crux, the 88 constellations recognised today and more.
The log at the door
The observatory log tracks eight numbers, from charts solved and hints used to quiz results, plus bars and quickest times for every grid size. Twelve feats are waiting to be lit.
Lights back on
Settings cover haptics, automatic dots, clash highlighting, the rules and a progress reset. The twinkling sky, two slow nebulae and a passing meteor are animated; switch Background animation off for a still sky. Plays offline, with no account needed.
