Check ✅ a coloured stone against the claim it was sold under, reading by reading.
Quarto Aura helps you test what a coloured stone was sold to you as. You start 🚀 with the claim, not a photo 📸. Write down the name on the paper, and the app 📱 lists the materials that are routinely sold under that same name.
Then you narrow the field with your own readings. Record a refractive index, a specific gravity, a dichroscope result, a colour filter 🎚️ reaction, an ultraviolet glow or what you see 👀 under the loupe. After each reading the app 📱 scores sixteen materials against their published ranges and redraws the ranking. A marked line shows how far the leader stands ahead of second place.
What you can do:
- Fold a new ✨ paper for each stone, with its claim, weight and where it came from.
- Keep every run open in the tray, with its findings, and filter 🎚️ by still in the field, determined or overturned.
- Strike out a reading and watch 👀 the field go back to where it stood.
- Close a run on a determination plate with a width of doubt and a list 📋 headed "what would overturn this".
- Browse the atlas of sixteen materials, twelve loupe signatures and eight bench instruments.
The atlas lists each material's refractive index, density and behaviour under the filter 🎚️ and the lamp, and which other materials it is confused with. Each instrument page explains what it can return and when it is worth using.
Everything is stored on the device 📱 and the app works offline 📴. Quarto Aura is a worksheet, not a certificate and not a valuation. It compares what you observed with published figures and says where the evidence stops.
Quarto Aura suits buyers with a doubt, students practising gem separation and collectors with a tray of unlabelled parcels.
