Build a Moon launch base, refuel in orbit, and keep a Mars colony supplied.
marsX is a colony logistics game. You move propellant and supplies from Earth to a launch base on the Moon, then onward to Mars when the transfer window is open.
Fill an orbital depot with tanker flights. Reusable boosters return to the pad or to a landing barge, so later launches spend less methalox. On the Moon, polar ice becomes water, oxygen, and hydrolox. Carbon is scarce there. Ship carbon in, and a later plant turns that carbon plus hydrolox into lunar methalox you can send back up to orbit.
Mars ships leave low orbit only inside the window, after they take on propellant from the depot. A real Mars opportunity repeats about every 780 days and a Hohmann transfer takes about 210 days. The campaign clock is faster so a session can catch a window. The colony needs water, food, oxygen, power, parts, and beds. Greenhouses and a Sabatier plant, fed by the Martian atmosphere and water, close the loop. Offline, yards you already started keep running. Nothing launches itself while you are away.
Research covers booster recovery, depot boil-off, fairings, electrolysis, lunar methalox, aerobraking, and closed-loop life support. Speed-ups finish timers you can already wait out. They do not unlock a yard or a route.
