Lupa: magnifier & microscope

Lupa turns your phone's camera into a magnifying glass. Read small print, medicine leaflets, menus and labels, and look at tiny things up close with the microscope mode. MAGNIFIER • Zoom by pinching, with the slider or with the volume keys • Light: the flash works as a torch, on or off at any time • Tap to focus, and adjust the brightness for glossy or dark surfaces • Filters for reading: high contrast, gray, black on white, white on black, yellow on black • Sharper at high zoom: on phones with several cameras it stays on one that can focus close, it focuses on what you see, and it tells you when you are too close to focus MICROSCOPE • Uses the rear camera that focuses closest (often the ultra-wide) and lets you magnify further • Eyepiece with a scale. Calibrate it once with a ruler and it shows real sizes • Shows how close the camera can focus and how far it is focusing • Manual focus on cameras that support it A phone has no microscope optics, so this mode works like a strong magnifying glass. With a clip-on macro lens you will see much more. FREEZE, SAVE AND SHARE • Freeze the image with a button or a double tap, then zoom in and move around it. On most phones a full-resolution photo of the same framing replaces it a moment later, so you see more detail • Save it to Pictures/Lupa and share it. Your saved photos are in "My photos" FRONT CAMERA • Works as a mirror. It has no flash, so the screen lights you up QUICK ACCESS • A quick settings tile and app shortcuts open it with the light already on PRIVACY No ads, no accounts and no internet access: the app only asks for the camera. Images are saved only when you press Save, and they stay on your phone. Available in English, Spanish and 21 more languages.
