Solunar Times: Fishing Hunting

Solunar calendar planning brings estimated fishing and hunting times, moon information and a daily activity score into one view. Solunar Times helps you compare possible outing dates and keep notes about what you actually observed. READ THE DAILY WINDOWS See major and minor feeding periods on a 24-hour timeline alongside sunrise, sunset, moonrise, moonset, moon phase and illumination. Major periods are modeled around the moon being overhead or underfoot and last about two hours; minor periods are modeled near moonrise or moonset and last about one hour. Available periods depend on the lunar events for the date and location. COMPARE DATES Browse a monthly calendar with a solunar score from 0 to 100. A ranked list highlights five dates over the next 30 days using the astronomical model. These rankings describe the model, not a measured chance of catching fish or seeing game. The 30-day list is not a 30-day weather forecast. ADD PRESSURE CONTEXT Automatic pressure data is retrieved from Open-Meteo for the coordinates in use. The app estimates the three-hour pressure trend in hPa and combines that trend with the solunar score in a separate activity index. Wind and cloud context can also be shown when available. If automatic data is unavailable, you can select a pressure trend manually. Weather data needs a network connection and can be missing or delayed. PLAN FOR YOUR TARGET Read heuristic tips for bass, trout, walleye, catfish, deer or duck. Use them as ideas for preparing an outing, not as live reports of where animals are. Optional feeding reminders relate to an upcoming period when viewing today and depend on notification permission and device support. Solunar report sharing involves a rewarded-ad unlock. KEEP YOUR OWN LOG Add a catch or sighting with species, a weather tag and an optional note. Entries include a timestamp and the solunar score and are stored locally. Review your entries and their counts across score categories to reflect on your trips. A log is your own record, not evidence that the model guarantees a result. CHECK LOCATION AND LIMITS Location access is used to obtain coordinates. If a location fix is unavailable, the app may use default coordinates of 40° N, 90° W; check the location status before treating the times as local. Times and scores are estimates. Solunar theory is a planning heuristic, and actual conditions may differ. It does not guarantee feeding, catches or animal movement. Use local rules and real conditions when planning an outing. The app is not a navigation, tide or safety-warning service. It contains advertising, uses Firebase Analytics, retrieves ad configuration over the network and requests online pressure data. These services mean the app is not described as having no network activity.

“Today” now shows its date in a top bar: ‹ and › open the previous or next day, and “Back to today” appears on any other day. Month arrows in “Calendar” keep you on the calendar. Moon rise/set and feeding period times are computed with an updated method. “Feeding timeline (24h)” draws a period crossing midnight only within the shown day. “Remind me before feeding times” stays on today’s times while you browse and asks for notification permission only when switched on.
