Taiwanese 16-tile mahjong online. See every tai, line by line. Learn in minutes.
Mahjong Orchid is Taiwanese 16-tile mahjong (台灣十六張麻將) for your phone: the full rules, scored in tai, and explained every time someone wins.
PLAY IN SECONDS
Tap Play and you are at a table. Four rooms are named for the four flowers: Plum and Orchid play one hand, about 3 minutes; Mum and Bamboo play an East round, about 15 minutes. Or open a private table and share its code with friends.
THE TAIWANESE RULES, ALL OF THEM
Sixteen tiles in hand. Chow, pung and kong (吃 碰 槓). Flowers and seasons with replacement draws. Declaring ready (聽). The dealer's streak (連莊, 連N拉N). The eight-flower hands (七搶一, 八仙過海). Scoring in base and tai (底 and 台), the way it is played at home tables in Taiwan.
EVERY WIN, EXPLAINED
When a hand ends, the score card lists each tai line, from a concealed self-draw to the dealer's streak, and shows the exact payment for every seat. You always know why a hand paid what it paid.
LEARN FROM ZERO
Never played 16-tile mahjong? The tutorial deals the tiles on a real table: five short Basics lessons take you from the tiles, your turn, chow and pung to your first win. A tile and hand reference is always one tap away, and small corner numbers help you read the tiles.
PRACTICE OFFLINE
Play against the computer at any time, even without a connection.
CHIPS ARE EARNED, NEVER SOLD
Everyone starts with chips. Earn more by playing, collect a daily reward, or watch an optional video for a top-up. There is nothing to buy, and chips have no cash value.
