The Tamilnadu Automobile and Allied Industries Federation (TAAIF) was established in 1982 through the collective efforts of six pioneering associations: The Madras Motor Parts Dealers' Association, Salem Motor Parts Dealers Association, The Coimbatore Motor Parts Dealers Association, Tamilnadu Diesel Pump Repairers Association, The Tamilnadu Motor Parts Dealers Association, and The Trichy Auto Parts Dealers Association. These associations came together in Chennai with the common objective of promoting and strengthening the automobile industry across Tamil Nadu.
