Birth Lottery: Life Simulator

You didn't choose where you were born. Nobody does. Birth Lottery is a random life simulator built on real world statistics. Your birth is drawn the way the world really does it: weighted by how many babies are born today in each of 237 countries and territories, out of 8 billion people. Scratch your birth registration to find out where you landed, how well off your family is, who your parents are and your life expectancy. Then live that life, one year at a time. ★ LIVE A WHOLE LIFE • Face real life choices: school, work, love, habits, moving to the city or to another country • Decide what your years are for: study, work, family, health or play • Use your time and savings: travel abroad, take a night class, see a counsellor, treat your friends, volunteer • At 18, pick two life wishes and find out at the end which came true ★ REAL ODDS, NOT GUESSES Your chances of surviving childhood, finishing school, finding work, marrying, having children, falling ill and dying come from UN, World Bank and WHO data for the country and family you were born into. Facts along the way show the real numbers behind your life. It is a real life simulator in the most literal sense. ★ BORN IN THE SAME SECOND Three other babies were born in the same second as you, somewhere else on Earth. Follow their lives alongside yours: who marries, who moves away, who is still here. At the end, see your lifespans side by side. ★ LUCK OR CHOICE? When your life ends, see how much of it was the lottery of your birth and how much was what you made of it, measured against 200 lives that began exactly like yours. Then start again and live an alternate life somewhere else. ★ SHARE YOUR LIFE Make a birth card, a life card and a short film of your life in pictures. • A text life sim with illustrations, from birth to death • Every life is different: 237 birthplaces and hundreds of stories and decisions • Plays offline • 11 languages If you like life simulation games, try being born somewhere you've never been. How lucky were you?
