Five More Minutes

Five more minutes. That's all he wanted. You are the monster at the bottom of the cave. Every night the village sends another party of heroes down the stairs to wake you up, and every night you have to get out of bed and deal with them. Personally. GRAB THEM. THROW THEM. EAT THEM. Tongue the archer across the room. Belly flop on the tank. Throw the healer at the mage. Heroes are also snacks, which is handy, because you'll need the health. FOUR MONSTERS, FOUR WAYS TO BE GRUMPY • The Troll: throws boulders, sits on problems, smells like a decision. • The Toad: tongue, belly flop, and a mouth that solves most problems. • The Blob: splits off little biters. More of him. Nobody asked for that. • The Grub: burrows under the floor, wraps heroes in cocoons, hates everyone equally. THEY LEARN Survivors limp back to the tavern, tell everyone what you did to them, and come back with a plan. Got dragged across the floor by your tongue? Next raid they bring grease. SEVEN NIGHTS. THREE LIVES. Five raids a night, and every night they bring more friends. Grow stronger between raids, pick your upgrades, and try to make it to morning. Then try Endless, for the truly sleepless. DRESS FOR THE OCCASION Nightcaps, hats, skins, lair looks and new insults for him to mumble at the heroes. They never make you stronger. They just make you better looking while you chew.
