Papertime Rhythm & Pitch is ear training and music theory practice, ten minutes a day. Each wrong bar is explained in words and played both ways, and the places you often miss come up a little more. • Sight singing: sing scales and melodies; your voice is drawn as a line over the notes and scored in cents. Solfege in movable do or fixed do, or letter names. Voice ranges from bass to soprano. • Rhythm reading: tap the rhythm from the score with two fingers and see how early or late each note was, in milliseconds. Play along with original Papertime songs. • Instrument practice: scales, arpeggios and chord tones in notation, guitar tab and fretboard, with piano fingering. Judged from the microphone or a MIDI keyboard. • Composer: place notes on a grid to write a melody (opens at Level 3 of the Conservatory). • Metronome: a wooden pendulum metronome.
