Arta Text is a private messenger with no phone number, no email and no account. Add a contact by scanning their QR code in person. Your phone creates a brand-new key pair just for that connection, so every message, photo and file is encrypted on your phone before it is sent. Only you and your contact can read them. We can't, and neither can anyone who gets hold of our server. • No phone number, no email, no sign-up, not even an account ID • Contacts are added by in-person QR scan, so nobody can swap keys in between • Every code is new, works once and expires after 30 minutes • Text messages, photos and files up to 25 MB, all end-to-end encrypted • A separate key pair for every contact; our server can't tell which ones belong to the same phone • Messages are deleted from our server as soon as your contact's phone has them • Standard, well-studied cryptography: X25519, HKDF-SHA256, ChaCha20-Poly1305 • Delete all your data from the app with one tap • No ads, no tracking, no third-party analytics • Made in Aachen, Germany, under EU data protection law Good to know: your keys and messages live only on your phone, so there is no cloud backup. If you get a new phone, add your contacts again. You get a notification when a message arrives (the name of your contact only, never the message text).
