Helper, salary and home records. Official-source guides for UAE, SG and HK.
A calmer way to manage life with a live-in helper.
A payday, a permit renewal, the next rent cheque. Household admin deserves a place of its own. HelperLedger helps families employing a live-in domestic helper in the UAE, Singapore and Hong Kong organise employment and home records.
━━━ Find a clearer answer ━━━
• Search the free guide by question, from “How many days of leave?” to salary, contracts, termination, visas, permits and tenancy.
• Each answer links to its official source, with a quotation where the source text is available. No sign-up needed.
━━━ Plan the day ahead with Pro ━━━
• Keep helper profiles with a face photo, nationality, role, start date, contract end, salary and payday.
• Organise document photos and expiry dates for helpers, family members and your home: passports, residence visas, Emirates ID, work permits, medical insurance and contracts.
• Today’s “Next up” list shows document expiries, paydays, renewals, notice periods and rent cheques.
• Receive reminders before deadlines; reminders of the same kind on the same day are combined into one notification. Notifications omit amounts.
━━━ Keep employment records clear ━━━
• Record salary payments with proof and export PDF receipts. UAE records include a WPS note; Hong Kong receipts follow the official sample format.
• Log leave with an estimated balance, labelled as an estimate with the legal source. The UAE and Hong Kong use the local rules; in Singapore, enter the leave days in the contract to see a balance.
• Organise advances, notes and contacts.
• Follow renewal and contract-ending procedures, including notice dates and last working days, with official sources and links.
━━━ Give your home its own desk ━━━
• Record tenancy, rent cheques, move-in inspection photos, notices and utilities; in the UAE, add an Ejari number (Dubai's tenancy registration).
• In the UAE, prepare a PDF document set for the Dubai Rental Disputes Center (RDC) after a short checklist.
• Export helper or home records in English as PDFs for offices and banks.
━━━ Private records, practical protection ━━━
• Records stay on your phone, not on our servers. No ads, analytics or tracking.
• Passport, ID and face photos are encrypted on the device.
• Choose an optional app lock using fingerprint, face, phone PIN or a separate app PIN.
• Pro adds encrypted automatic backup to your own Google Drive, protected by a passphrase. The encryption key is excluded from the backup file.
• First launch offers restoration from a backup after changing or losing a phone.
━━━ Choose what fits your household ━━━
Pro offers monthly or yearly subscriptions; details are shown in the app. Viewing and PDF export of records you have already entered stay free if Pro ends. Without Pro, the reminder for a helper's residence document remains at seven days before expiry.
