FaceRek Capturn is the phone step in a live-face check that a website starts with a one-time link. You open the link, read what the check will do, and choose whether to consent. If you consent, the app uses the camera for that session only. You do not create an account. The app does not keep a photo or a video. How a check starts The website creates one session and gives you a link. The link carries a session token. That token is not your name and it is not an email address. If the session is still waiting, you see the consent screen. If the check is already finished, the app says so and does not open the camera. The first screen also offers Review demo, for a person who needs to walk the screens without a website session. Tap Review demo, or open facerek-capturn://s/review-demo. The demo uses the same consent, camera, and result screens. It stays on the phone. It does not call the live session service, and it does not send a result to a customer website. No password is required. Consent comes first The consent screen says the camera is used for this one session, that images are not stored, and that the website that sent the link receives the session result. You tick a box to agree. Continue stays off until that box is ticked. If you do not consent, the camera does not open. The app does not use a different policy address. What the camera check does After consent, the app asks you to hold still, blink once, and turn your head a little. The phone reads the camera preview and keeps only three numbers from each moment: how many faces are in the frame, how far the head turned, and whether the eyes were open. The preview is not saved. A photo, a video, and a face template are not written to the phone. The check looks for one face that holds, blinks, and turns. A printed photo, another screen, or a mask is not what this check scores. If the camera cannot open, you can ask the website for a different check that is not a face check. This app does not provide that other check. In the review demo, that request stays on the phone and is not delivered. What you see at the end The result screen is text only. It does not show a picture of your face. It says that no photo was stored. It names the age-range estimate and the gender estimate when those values are present. They are estimates. They can be wrong. They are not an identity decision. When this phone measured the cues, the screen also names hold, blink, and turn. What this app does not do It does not ask you to create a password, add a card, or sign in. It does not read your photo library or other files on the phone. It does not draw a window over other apps. It does not keep the camera running after you leave the check. It does not use the microphone. It does not turn an estimate into a name or a profile, and it does not keep a photo for a later session.
