Sacred Hours

Sacred Hours is a Christian prayer app and daily devotional. It brings a calm, unhurried rhythm of morning and evening prayer, rooted in Scripture and centered on Christ. Choose your tradition: Catholic, Orthodox, Anglican, Lutheran, Reformed, Methodist, Baptist, Pentecostal, or non-denominational. Or begin with Exploring Christianity if you are returning to faith or exploring it for the first time. Sacred Hours adapts its prayers, reflections, and calendar to your tradition, so daily devotion feels rooted and familiar rather than generic. It combines Scripture, reflection, and prayer with a calendar attuned to your tradition, giving your practice structure without making it feel scripted. Whether you think of it as a devotion or a rule of life, a few unhurried minutes at dawn and dusk become a steady rhythm of returning to Christ, day after day. A COMPLETE DAILY RHYTHM First Light (morning devotion) offers Scripture, reflection, and a short prayer to begin the day in faith and love. Day's End (evening devotion) offers Scripture, reflection, an examen that gently reviews the day, and a closing prayer that entrusts your life to God's mercy and rest. KEEP THE RHYTHM See your mornings and evenings as they add up, and keep a private journal for your own reflections and prayers. The goal is small, steady faithfulness, one day at a time. SHAPED BY THE CHRISTIAN YEAR Sacred Hours follows the rhythm of the Christian year as your tradition keeps it: Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, and the feasts and observances your tradition holds dear. Seasons differ across traditions, but the purpose is the same: to let holy time shape daily prayer rather than generic themes. DEVOTIONS THAT SOUND LIKE HOME Scripture stays at the center of every devotion. Reflections and prayers are written to feel at home in your tradition, without flattening its distinctives into generic language. The aim is not novelty but a steady voice you can trust: reverent, readable, and grounded in the gospel. VIRTUE FORMATION, WEEK BY WEEK Each week highlights a virtue as a practice of discipleship, grounded in Scripture and received as a response to grace. Virtues become habits to practice in ordinary life, shaping your attention, speech, and action in love of God and neighbor. LISTEN, NOT JUST READ Listen to Scripture passages, reflections, prayers, and virtue content. Listen on a commute, during a walk, or in a quiet room when you would rather listen than look at a screen. DESIGNED FOR CALM, CONSISTENT PRACTICE Sacred Hours is built for people who want depth without noise. No feed. No ads. No clutter. Just a clean, minimalist page that reads like a book, not a stream. A familiar structure and gentle morning and evening reminders make it easy to return. WHO IT'S FOR Sacred Hours is for busy people with only a few minutes, longtime believers who want structure for morning and evening prayer, and anyone returning to faith or exploring it for the first time.
