Sunline

Sunline tells you when the sun rises and sets, how long the day lasts and when the light turns soft, for any spot on Earth and any date you choose. Everything is worked out on the phone with the standard solar position equations, so it keeps working in the mountains, at sea or in airplane mode. There is no location request. Pick one of the large world cities in the built-in list, or type the latitude and longitude of your garden, a campsite or a viewpoint. Each place has its standard time zone, and a summer time switch that you control, so the times match the clocks there. The day arc on the main screen draws the sun's path across a half-dome sky. Height shows how far above the horizon the sun stands, colored bands mark daylight, golden hour, blue hour, twilight and night, and a gold disc shows where the sun is right now or at any time you step to. What you get for each day: - Sunrise, sunset and day length, with the change compared with yesterday - Solar noon and the highest elevation of the sun - Civil, nautical and astronomical dawn and dusk - Morning and evening golden hour and blue hour - Sun azimuth and elevation at any time, with compass direction - A month table with sunrise, sunset, day length and daily change - A calendar for any date from 1901 to 2199 - Clear handling of midnight sun and polar night, with twilight times when the sun stays below the horizon Other details: - Save up to 20 places and switch between them with one tap - Coordinates in decimal degrees or degrees, minutes and seconds - 12-hour or 24-hour clock, and a choice of Monday or Sunday as the first day of the week - A plain-English guide that explains twilight, golden hour and how to read the arc Sunline has no account, no ads and no internet permission. Your places and settings are kept only in the app's own storage on the phone, and Reset everything in Settings clears them at once.
