SowDepth

SowDepth helps home gardeners look up simple reference values for seed sowing depth and spacing. Choose a plant type such as tomato, lettuce, carrot, beans, sunflower, basil, pansy, or marigold. Then pick a sowing place (outdoor bed, indoor tray, greenhouse, or balcony pot) and a season (spring, summer, or autumn). The app estimates reference sowing depth, row spacing, and plant spacing using a simplified relationship between seed size and cover depth. Larger seeds are generally sown deeper, while smaller seeds are kept near the surface. Short notes highlight practices such as light cover for lettuce and carrot seeds, and a brief soak for bean seeds before sowing. You can compare seed size notes, review plant-specific remarks, and keep saved results on your device. Figures are for personal garden planning only. Adjust for seed quality and soil moisture when you sow.
