Reedwater: Lake Fishing

Reedwater is a calm lake fishing game. Pick one of three pegs on a lake, read the depth chart and the cover (weeds, logs, rocks, lily pads and reeds), then cast by swiping up. The swipe sets the direction of the line and the distance, up to the limit of your rod. Once the lure is in the water, hold to reel it in or tap to twitch it. A bite shows on the float and the rod tip. A tap inside a short window sets the hook. The fight is a game of tension: hold the reel button to bring the fish in, release it to let line out, and keep the tension meter under the strength of your line. A reel-now marker shows when to reel. Every fish is released. Each one is measured on a ruler, photographed for your journal and then let go. The game never shows a fish harmed, and no hook is ever shown in a fish's mouth. A trip is ten casts, or about five minutes, and ends on a summary with the coins you earned and the quests you finished. Before each trip you choose the start hour. Dawn, day, dusk and night change the look of the lake, and the lake clock moves on as you fish. Four lakes open as you go: Reed Marsh, Pine Lake, Lotus Court Pond and Glacier Tarn. Each lake has ten regular species and one legend fish. The journal lists every species with its size marks and a tip on where and how to find it. The Lake Club holds quests for each lake, and a daily lake notice adds one small quest each day. Gear is bought with coins, from a starter rod and reel to stronger tiers, and every species can be found without paying for anything. The game contains ads and offers in-app purchases. A full-screen ad called Shore break can appear only when you leave a trip summary. It never appears before your fourth completed trip, never more than once every two completed trips, never less than 120 seconds apart, and never during play. Two rewarded offers are always optional and labelled. Second chance lets you hook a lost fish again, once per trip. Lucky hour raises the bite rate for your next three casts. Remove Ads is a one-time purchase that removes the Shore break ads, and rewarded offers stay. Golden Bait is a pack of ten golden bait. Each one raises the bite rate for one cast. It never affects a legend fish and never guarantees a bite. The game works offline. The internet is used only for ads and for purchases through Google Play. It is for players aged 13 and over.
