Prayer times and the direction of the Kaaba, worked out on your phone. No account, no ads, and we never see your location.
Why this one
Open the Google Play and most prayer apps cost nothing because you are the product. One of the biggest sold its users' location data to a US military contractor. The FTC later banned that broker from selling worship-location data at all. Others fund themselves with ads - and reviewers keep reporting gambling ads and immodest images inside apps people opened to pray.
Pink Qibla has no advertising SDK, no analytics and no account, and it never sends your location to us. There is nothing to sell.
How it works
A prayer time is a solar geometry problem, and solar geometry has been solved for centuries. Your phone knows the date, and it knows where it is. That is everything needed. Pink Qibla runs the standard astronomical equations locally and shows you the answer.
- All five daily times plus sunrise
- Seven calculation methods: Muslim World League, ISNA, Egyptian, Umm al-Qura, Karachi, Tehran, and Jafari
- Both Asr schools - the standard shadow rule and Hanafi
- Live countdown to the next prayer
- Each prayer's window and how it moves across the week ahead
- Qibla compass using true north, with the great-circle bearing and the distance to Makkah
Honest where it matters
At far northern and southern latitudes the sun never drops far enough below the horizon for Fajr or Isha on some days. Pink Qibla shows no time rather than inventing one. A wrong prayer time is worse than an absent one.
Prayer times are calculated, not authoritative. Calculation methods differ by school and locality. Please follow your local mosque where precision matters.
Works with everything off
Airplane mode is a supported way to use this app, not a degraded one. Prayer times and the qibla compass work the same on a plane, in a basement, and abroad on no signal.
