Measure noise in dB(A), see its frequencies and keep a record you can export.
Sonomètre turns your phone into a pocket noise analyser. It shows how loud it is right now, which frequencies the noise is made of, and keeps a record of every measurement that you can hand to someone as a PDF report or a CSV file.
Measure
• Live level in dB(A), dB(C) or dB(Z), with Fast, Slow or Impulse time weighting
• Min, Leq (the true average), Max and C-weighted peak, with a reset
• An LED bar, a reference scale from whisper to jet engine, and the last minute as a graph
• Calibration: an offset per microphone, a guided comparison with a reference meter or a 94 dB calibrator, and microphone correction files
• Works with the built-in microphone, a headset or a USB measurement microphone
Listen by frequency
• Watch bass, voice, treble or mains hum, each as its own channel
• Pick octave or third-octave bands, a band of your own, or a single frequency
• A dashboard of charts, as many as you like, each on its own frequency, with threshold lines
• Spectrum analyser with peak hold and average, octave bars, and a spectrogram
• The dominant frequency with its musical note, to track down a hum
Keep a record
• Sessions with start delay and auto-stop, markers and threshold alerts
• Save with a name, notes, tags and a place, typed in or found by GPS
• History with search, filters and sorting
• Per session: Leq, L10, L50, L90, SEL, time above a threshold, a level histogram, the average spectrum and every event
• Optional noise dose (NIOSH or OSHA), labelled indicative
Share it
• A clear PDF report with summary, charts, events, place and measurement settings
• CSV with the separator, decimal mark, time format and resolution you choose, with a preview
• Save to any folder or share to any app
Private by design
• Audio is processed in memory and never recorded, stored or sent
• Sessions stay on your phone; nothing is uploaded
• Location is read only when you tap "Use my location"
• No account, works offline
Made to read well
• Dark or light theme and six accent colours
• 10 languages: English, 中文, हिन्दी, Español, Français, العربية, বাংলা, Português, Русский, اردو
• Two-pane layouts on tablets and in landscape
Readings from a phone microphone are approximate. Sonomètre is not a certified sound level meter (IEC 61672) and should not be used where a certified instrument is required.
