Wavelens: Tracker & Cam Finder

Wavelens listens to the radio signals around your car and tells you, in plain language, what they most likely are — and when one of them is keeping pace with you. Every Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi and cellular emitter in range is matched against a built‑in list of 270+ signature rules and sorted by how much you probably care. Every match says how sure it is: Confirmed only when a device describes itself; a vendor prefix alone never gets past Likely. Nothing leaves your phone. WHAT IT FINDS - Item trackers — AirTag, Tile, Chipolo, Pebblebee, SmartTag and Find My Device tags — including whether the tag is separated from its owner - Hardware from the makers of licence‑plate readers: fixed poles, trailer and vehicle‑mounted units (Likely — a maker, not a model) - Hardware from the makers of body‑worn and vehicle cameras (Likely) - Drones broadcasting Remote ID, decoded in full: altitude, speed, heading and where the operator is standing - Acoustic sensors and travel‑time traffic probes - Doorbells, home cameras, wearables, cars, access points and cell sites — classified so the list above stands out RIDING WITH YOU A device that holds a steady signal while you cover ground is in or on your vehicle. Wavelens scores every emitter against your own GPS motion and alerts when one keeps pace through turns and stop‑and‑go. Traffic jams and parking don't count. FOLLOWING YOU A device heard at five well‑separated spots over twelve minutes, and lost in between, is not the car in the next lane. "Following" alerts come with a map replay of your path against the device's hits and gaps, and the evidence is saved the moment it happens. TRACKERS THAT MATTER Find My frames come from earbuds and powered‑off phones as well as tags, so a tracker alerts only when it's separated from its owner and has stayed with you — or is riding or following. BUILT FOR THE ROAD - Driving HUD: one big band for the most important thing nearby, readable from the dash - Distinct tone per kind, spoken name and distance, screen flash, torch strobe, vibration — each its own switch - Keeps scanning with the screen off, with a persistent notification you can stop at any time - Routes you drive regularly are learned: a new plate reader on your commute gets an alert, the one you've passed thirty times goes quiet REMEMBERS WHAT IT HAS SEEN - Flag a device once and Wavelens fingerprints what doesn't change, so it says "known", not "possible", the next time — even after the address rotates - Encounter history: how many places, days and sessions each device has been heard - Mark your own kit "Mine" and it never alerts again - A report for every drive — duration, distance, cameras passed, trackers heard, anything that rode or followed — exported as PDF, KML or CSV LISTEN WITH YOUR OWN RADIO (optional) Add your own RTL-SDR dongle on a Raspberry Pi, or an ESP32, and connect it over Bluetooth: the Scanner tab becomes a radio scanner. It finds the strongest nearby transmissions, follows them and plays the audio on your phone — analog FM, DMR, P25 and trunked public-safety systems, with talkgroup names from your own RadioReference export. Encrypted calls are never decoded. The companion software is free and open source; everything above works with no extra hardware at all. YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR PHONE Wavelens has no network permission. No account, no analytics, no ads, no uploads. The only way anything leaves is a file you export yourself. Detections live in the app's private storage and are deleted when you uninstall. Wavelens only listens. It never connects to, pairs with or transmits to the devices it observes; the only thing it ever connects to is your own companion radio. Classification is based on public signature data and is a best‑effort guess — check before you act on it. Requires Android 8.0 or later. Location permission is required by Android to receive Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi scan results; it is used on‑device only.

Live list: anonymous Bluetooth devices (rotating addresses, no name) now fold into one line instead of hundreds of NEW rows, and stay off the Radar. Anything recognisable still shows on its own. Opens on Radar on car screens; phones reopen on the tab you used last. Alert notifications open Alerts. Spotter updates now cover ESP32-S3, C3, C6 and C5 boards as well as the classic ESP32.
