Track pen, ink and paper to find faults and improve calligraphy in Coin Strike
🖋️ Log pen and ink pairings, tag stroke faults on sheet photos, and find the cause. 🔍 Coin Strike helps pointed-pen calligraphers find out why their lines go wrong. ✨ You log what is on the desk, mark the faults on a photo of your practice sheet, and let the app compare your sessions. 📊
Every session records a pairing: a nib, an ink, a paper and a holder. 🖋️ You choose each part, set your script style, and write a practice sheet. The last pairing is pre-filled, so you only change what is different today. 🔄
📸 Photograph the finished sheet or import it from your gallery, then tap each fault to drop a mark. Tag it as feathering, bleed-through, blobbing, railroading, skipping, snagging or dry hairline. 🔎 Pinch to zoom and drag a mark to move it. Then add the minutes you wrote and a hairline score from 1 to 5. ⭐
What you can do with Coin Strike:
📒 Keep a ledger of sessions with sheet thumbnails, marks, minutes and scores.
🔍 Filter sessions by material or by defect.
📊 See a fault matrix that compares each defect with each nib, ink, paper and holder.
📈 Open the evidence behind a cell: a chart of defects per sheet with and without a material, and the sessions on each side.
🧪 Plan an isolation test that swaps a single component, then record whether the fault disappeared.
📚 Browse a catalogue of nibs, inks, papers and holders, with commonly reported tendencies.
✏️ Add your own materials, duplicate shipped ones, and mark them active, worn or retired.
⚙️ Set how many sessions each comparison needs before a culprit is named.
🎯 Sample sessions are included, so the matrix has something to show on the first launch. You can remove them in Settings.
🔒 Everything stays on your device. There is no account and no sync. Coin Strike gives you evidence from your own sheets, so you can change one thing at a time and write cleaner hairlines. ✒️
