Tendly keeps the newborn months in one place: a diary, one-tap timers and the checklists you actually use. It is free, paid for by a single small banner ad, and it never asks you to make an account. WHAT YOU LOG - Feeding: start the timer with one tap, stop it with another, and add the amount in ml if you like - Sleep: the same one-tap timer, so nobody is doing arithmetic at 4am - Diapers: wet, dirty or both in a single tap - Diary: a few words and an emoji for how the day felt. Text only, so there are no photos to sort through later WHAT YOU FOLLOW - Development checklist: 6 stages from 0 to 24 months, ticked off at your own pace - Starting solids: 4 stages of what to try and when - Everyday care tips: hydration, skin, sleep environment and accident prevention - Weekly stats: totals, averages and trends for feeding, sleep and diapers REMINDERS, IF YOU WANT THEM A parenting tip each morning, and feeding reminders at the times you choose. Both start switched off, and the app only asks for notification permission at the moment you turn one on. FOUR LANGUAGES The app and its guide follow your phone's language: English, Korean, Japanese and Simplified Chinese. THE ONE BANNER AD Tendly stays free because of one banner ad from Google AdMob, shown above the bottom tab bar on the five main tabs. It does not appear in Settings, while you write a diary entry, or on guide detail pages. Where the law requires it (the EEA and UK), Google's consent form asks for your choice first, and Settings has an Ad privacy options row for changing your answer. Google handles ad data under its own privacy policy. WHERE YOUR RECORDS LIVE Diary entries and timer records are written to this phone. We run no server that receives them, and there is no account to sign in to. The trade-off: there is no backup, so uninstalling the app deletes its records with it.
