Panswap

Panswap helps when the recipe calls for one pan and your cupboard holds another. Pick the pan the recipe was written for, pick the pan you have, and Panswap tells you how much to multiply every ingredient by. Both pans are drawn side by side at the same scale, so you can see the difference in size before you start mixing. How it works Choose a shape for each pan: round, square, rectangle, loaf, tube or bundt, or sheet. Type the size in inches or centimeters, or tap one of the common sizes. Panswap compares the base areas and shows the multiplier, for example 1.2656 when moving from an 8 inch round to a 9 inch round, together with a friendly fraction such as about 1 1/4 times the recipe. Add the depth of both pans and the comparison switches to volume. Panswap also explains which way to adjust the bake: deeper batter wants a slightly lower temperature and a longer bake, shallow batter bakes faster, and tube pans heat from the center. It gives the direction in plain words rather than guessing minutes. Features - Pan converter for round, square, rectangle, loaf, tube or bundt (approximate) and sheet pans - Pans drawn to scale with the area of each one and the multiplier between them - Compare by base area, or by volume when both depths are known - Baker's percentages: flour weight to grams, target dough weight to grams, or grams back to percentages - Hydration, total percentage and dough weight at a glance, with several flours and liquids supported - Save up to 40 dough formulas and open them again at any batch size - Oven converter for Celsius and Fahrenheit with the fan oven setting and the nearest gas mark - Gas mark table from 1/4 to 9 - Cups, tablespoons and teaspoons to grams and back for ten baking staples, with the density used shown for each - Inch or centimeter pans, Celsius or Fahrenheit temperatures - A plain-English guide inside the app Panswap keeps everything on your phone. There is no sign-up and nothing to connect, it works without a network, and the pans, formulas and settings you enter never leave the device.
