LV mass, LVMI, RWT and LV geometry from echo, with ASE and ESH normal values
Left ventricular mass calculator from echocardiography. Made for echocardiographers, cardiologists and internists.
What it calculates
• LV mass by the ASE formula with the Devereux correction
• LV mass index by body surface area (LVMI, g/m²), BSA by Mosteller
• LV mass indexed to height to the power 2.7 (g/m²·⁷), the preferred index in overweight and obesity
• Relative wall thickness (RWT)
• LV geometry: normal, concentric remodeling, concentric or eccentric hypertrophy
• LVIDd indexed to BSA and to height
Degree of abnormality for every value
Normal, mild, moderate or severe, sex-specific, from the ASE/EAE tables. A colored scale shows at a glance how far a value is from normal.
Made for daily work
• Results update as you type, no Calculate button
• Dimensions in millimeters or centimeters; entered values are converted
• A hint when values look like they were entered in the wrong units
• Ready-made report text: copy with one tap or send to a messenger
• A note when BMI is 25 kg/m² or more and the BSA and height²·⁷ indexes disagree
• Normal values tab: full grading table for men and women, hypertrophy thresholds, formulas and links to sources
• Light and dark theme
Sources of normal values
• ASE/EACVI 2015 and ASE/EAE 2005 chamber quantification recommendations
• 2023 ESH and 2018 ESC/ESH hypertension guidelines
• Russian Ministry of Health clinical guidelines on hypertension in adults (2024)
Entered values stay on the device and are never sent anywhere. No patient name or other personal details are requested.
Normal values are for adults. Results are for reference and must be interpreted by a physician in the clinical context.
