A game that highlights the core mechanic of "connecting five pieces in a row."
"Game Rules: Pentrix (Gomoku/Five-in-a-Row)
Basic Information
Number of players: 2
Board size: 15×15 (13×13 or 19×19 variants are also possible)
Piece colors: Black and White; each player takes one color
Objective: The first player to form a continuous line of five pieces of their own color—horizontally, vertically, or diagonally—wins the game
Detailed Rules
1. Opening Rules
Black moves first (the ""forbidden move"" rule may be applied to balance the first-move advantage; see below)
The board starts empty
2. Placement Rules
Players take turns placing one of their pieces on an intersection of the grid lines
Once placed, a piece cannot be moved or removed (no taking back moves, unless mutually agreed upon)
3. Determining the Winner
The first player to form a continuous line of five of their own pieces in any straight direction wins
Forming more than five consecutive pieces (e.g., a line of six) also counts as a win
Example: ⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫ (a line of six) counts as a victory
Draw Rules
If the board is completely filled without anyone forming a line of five, the game ends in a draw"
