Expiry date scanner reads the printed date. Fridge & pantry inventory alerts.
Vorra is the expiration date tracker that reads the date for you. Point the camera at the date printed on the pack and this food expiration tracker saves it, sorts everything by what runs out first and reminds you in time.
Most expiry apps scan the barcode and then ask you to type the date. Vorra does the part that matters: it reads the printed date itself.
HOW IT WORKS
• Tap "Scan date" and point at the date. Vorra understands 31.12.26, 12/2026, 2026-12-31, BB 14 MAR 2027, EXP next to MFG and many more print styles.
• The barcode is read on the way and fills in the product name. Name a product once and Vorra remembers it.
• No camera at hand? Type it in with quick buttons like +1 week or "like last time".
SEE WHAT TO USE UP FIRST
• One list for fridge, freezer and pantry, sorted by date
• A coloured sticker on every item shows the days left
• Tick "Used up" or "Thrown away" with one tap, with undo
• Quantities: use one of four yoghurts and the rest stays on the list
REMINDERS THAT DO NOT NAG
• A reminder only on days when something is due, silent otherwise
• You choose the time and how many days before
• Mark an item as used up straight from the notification
• Reminders come back after a restart and after an app update
MADE FOR THE WHOLE HOUSEHOLD
• Food, medicine, cosmetics, baby food, pet food, contact lenses: anything with a use by date or best before date
• Share your use-up list with the family as text
• Monthly waste report: how much you used up in time and how much went in the bin
PRIVATE AND FAIR
• No account, no ads, no tracking
• The date is read on your phone. No photo is saved or sent.
• Works offline. Only the barcode number is sent to look up a product name, and you can switch that off.
• Backup file to take your list to a new phone
