Offline hiking compass, altimeter, sun times, flashlight, whistle and SOS.
Trail Kit puts the tools you reach for on a mountain into one simple app. It works without signal, needs no account, and shows just one small banner ad that never covers a reading and never appears on the SOS, flashlight or whistle screens.
WHERE AM I
• Coordinates in decimal degrees, DMS, DDM, UTM and MGRS: tap to copy, or share them in a message
• Korea's national point number, the code on mountain signposts that 119 rescuers ask for
• Altitude above sea level, with GPS accuracy and satellites
WHICH WAY
• Compass with true or magnetic north, bearing lock and back bearing
• Sun and moon on the dial, so you know where they are even behind the clouds
• Save the trailhead, your car or a junction, and follow an arrow back to it
HOW HIGH, HOW LONG
• Altimeter from GPS and, on phones that have one, the barometer: calibrate with GPS, a summit marker or a weather report, and set a zero point
• Air-pressure trend with a warning when it falls fast
• Sunrise and sunset with their directions, first and last light, daylight left, moon phase, moonrise and moonset
• Hike timer with a turnaround reminder, so you are down before dark
WHEN SOMETHING GOES WRONG
• SOS screen: call the local emergency number in one tap (119 in Korea, 911, 112 and more), text your position to your emergency contacts, show your medical card
• Flashlight with brightness, strobe, SOS signal, hold-for-light and a red light that keeps your night vision
• Loud whistle, three-blast distress signal and siren that keep sounding with the screen off
• Offline safety and first-aid guide: lost, calling for rescue, hypothermia, heat, sprains, bleeding, stings, lightning and more
ALSO
• Slope meter for steep and snowy ground
• Gear checklist
• Night red theme, big numbers, 9 languages
Your data stays on your phone: no sign-up, no servers, no location in the background. Location is used only while the app is open, and notifications only for the turnaround reminder you set.
Trail Kit helps; it does not replace a map, a real compass and good preparation. In an emergency, always call the local emergency number.
