Tuner is a chromatic tuner for guitar and bass that gets out of your way. Play a string and the screen tells you three things at a glance: which string you hit, how far off it is, and the moment it is in tune. How it works • Automatic string detection picks the closest string of your tuning, or tap a string to lock onto it. • A large note display with a cents meter shows flat and sharp at arm's length, even in a dim room. • When a string is in tune, its key lights up and the display locks in, so you can move on without squinting. • A live trace of the signal shows that the microphone hears you. Tunings • Guitar presets: Standard, Drop D, Half Step Down, Full Step Down, Drop C, Open D, Open G, DADGAD and 7-string Standard. • Bass presets: Standard, Drop D, Half Step Down, 5-string and 6-string Standard. • Custom tunings: retune any string by semitone, add strings at the low or high end, or remove strings. Your instrument and tuning are remembered between launches. Built for the stand • Works in portrait and landscape. • Keeps the screen on while you tune. • Pitch detection tuned for plucked strings, down to a 5-string bass low B. Privacy Tuner listens to the microphone only while the app is open, processes the audio on your device and never records, stores or sends it anywhere. It has no ads, no accounts and no analytics.
