Pre-Trip Vehicle Inspection

Pre-Trip Vehicle Inspection is a walkaround checklist for the vehicle you drive: tap through every item, record defects with photos, sign with your finger and share the check as a PDF report. ▶ READY-MADE CHECKLISTS • 8 built-in checklists: car daily check, car before a long trip, truck / HGV walk-around, van daily check, motorcycle, trailer before towing, bus / coach before departure, and rental pickup / return. • Duplicate any of them and change it, or build your own: sections and items, each one OK / Defect / N/A, a number with a unit, text or a photo. Mark items required or optional and put them in your order. • Changing a checklist never changes checks you have already started or finished. ▶ RUN THE CHECK • Big OK, Defect and N/A buttons for every item. • Odometer, driver name and a location you type in are saved with the start and finish time. A reading lower than the last one gets a warning. • "All remaining OK" for a section first asks you to confirm that you checked each listed item yourself, and the report marks those items. • An unfinished check is saved as you go and waits under "In progress". • A check is finished with your finger signature, once every required item has an answer. ▶ DEFECTS, FOLLOWED UP • For each defect: a note, up to 6 photos and your own assessment, "Safe to drive" or "Must fix before use". • Open defects of a vehicle are listed at the start of its next check and in its report. • Record the fix with the date, corrective action, a note and photos. Then close the defect, or reopen it if the fix did not hold. ▶ RENTAL PICKUP AND RETURN • Tap the car outline (left, right, front, rear, top) to add numbered damage marks with a note and photos. • On return, marks that have no matching mark from the pickup are shown as new since pickup. ▶ REPORTS AND HISTORY • The PDF report lists the vehicle, every item, defects, damage marks, photos and your signature, with page numbers. Share it or print it. • History per vehicle, a filter for checks with defects, and CSV export. ▶ VEHICLES AND REMINDERS • Cars, vans, trucks, motorcycles, trailers and buses, as many as you need. Odometer in km or miles. • Maintenance reminders per vehicle, due by date, by odometer reading or both. Due ones show on the Check tab. • An optional daily check reminder at a time you choose. It stays off until you switch it on. ▶ GOOD TO KNOW • This is the driver's own check record. It does not certify legal compliance or roadworthiness, and the checklists are generic, not a legally required inspection form. • Maintenance reminders show inside the app. The only notification is the daily check reminder. • Your vehicles, checks and photos are saved on your phone. No account and no sign-up. Make backup files with all vehicles, checks, defects, checklists and photos, keep them where you like and restore them later. The restore shows what will change before anything is changed. • The camera opens only when you tap to take a photo. Location is never read; you type it in if you want it. • Reports with many photos use smaller photos to keep the PDF manageable. • The app shows ads, but never while a check is running or on a finished check's report screen.

No vehicle saved yet? Tap “Start a check” and a short form now appears right inside the vehicle picker: a name, the vehicle type and km or mi. “Add and continue” becomes tappable once a name is entered. The new vehicle is then saved and selected, the default checklist for its type is preselected and “Begin” is ready, all without leaving the screen. Plate and odometer can be filled in later under “Vehicles”. If you already have vehicles, the picker works as before.
