Knots Kit: Animated Knot Guide

Knots Kit shows you the right knot for what you're doing and teaches it one step at a time. Fishing knots, climbing knots, sailing, camping and scout knots: each one plays as an animation, with one clear instruction for every step. It all lives inside the app, so it works offline, at the water, at the crag or at camp. HOW IT WORKS • Pick your activities once. They come first every time you open the app. • Open a knot and it plays one step at a time. Each step plays twice, then the next one starts. • Pause, go back a step, or drag across the animation to follow the rope at your own pace. • Tap full screen and turn your phone sideways for a bigger view. FIND THE RIGHT KNOT • Search by name, including the other names people use: Flemish knot, grapevine, butterfly loop. • Not sure what it's called? Pick what you need to do: tie a line to a hook, join two ropes, make a loop that stays the same size, stop a rope end, tie a rope to a post. • Every knot tells you what it's good for, when to avoid it and how to check you tied it right. • Fishing knots list the lines they suit: monofilament, fluorocarbon or braid. KNOTS FOR 9 ACTIVITIES • Fishing: Palomar, Improved Clinch, Uni Knot, Uni-to-Uni, Albright, Alberto, Blood Knot, Surgeon's Loop. • Climbing: Figure Eight Loop, Figure Nine Loop, Alpine Butterfly, Yosemite Bowline, Double Fisherman's, Clove Hitch. • Boating and sailing: Bowline, Double Bowline, Bowline on a Bight, Clove Hitch, Sheet Bend, Stevedore's Knot, Heaving Line Knot. • Camping and scouting: Overhand Knot, Clove Hitch, Two Half Hitches, Fisherman's Knot, Surgeon's Knot and more. • Also diving, fire and rescue, military, and a short set of essentials for everyday jobs. BUILT FOR BUSY HANDS • Big buttons that work with wet or cold fingers. • The screen stays on while you follow the steps. • Slow the animation down when a step goes too fast. • Mirror it if the knot is easier to follow the other way round, handy for left-handers. • Light and dark themes. SHARE AND SAVE • Send a knot to a friend, your crew or your scout group in one tap. • Keep the knots you use most in Favorites. FREE, NO STRINGS • Free. No ads, no in-app purchases, no subscription, no account. • Works offline. Your favorites and settings stay on your phone. • Missing a knot? Suggest it from Settings. We read every suggestion.
