Hornusser

Hornusser is an arcade game about Hornussen, the Swiss farmers' sport from the Emmental. A hitter on the far ramp whips a 78-gram puck, the Nouss, more than 200 metres down a mown field. Your team waits in the Ries with big wooden boards. Every Nouss that lands is a Nummer against you, and the side with the fewest Nummern wins. Drag a fielder under the puck's path and let go: he throws his Schindel straight up. Wind and the hitter's spin bend every flight, so you read the shadow, not the puck. Twelve strikes per match, two from each hitter. Captain Ueli Gerber shouts at you in Bernese German whatever happens. Win at Lauperswil to be invited to Madiswil, then to the festival final at the Bern Allmend. Features: • Multi-touch fielding: drag several fielders at once and time each throw • Live wind at each ground from Open-Meteo, or each ground's usual wind when you're offline • Three grounds with their own hitters, strike ranges and curling spin • Paint your club crest on every board with the camera or a picture from your gallery • Fielders get quicker with every save they make • Match chronicle with a plot of where every Nouss came down • Optional Sunday-morning training call from Ueli Hopp, Schindle ufe!
