ScanShield: Safe QR Scanner

Scan any QR code, barcode, UPI payment code or link and see if it is safe before anything opens. ScanShield is a QR scanner and scam checker built for India, in English and Hindi. Fake QR stickers at shops, "refund" UPI codes, fake KYC links, parcel and power-cut messages: scams now arrive as QR codes and links. ScanShield checks them first and gives a clear verdict: Safe, Be careful or Danger, with simple reasons you can understand. • SAFE QR CODE SCANNER Scan with the camera or from a photo or screenshot. Nothing opens automatically. Reads QR codes and barcodes: links, UPI, Wi-Fi, phone, SMS, email, contacts and app links. • UPI QR PAYMENT CHECK Catches pre-filled amounts, "receive money" or "prize" notes, and fake payee names that pretend to be a bank or brand. Remember: scanning a UPI QR always sends money. You never scan or enter a PIN to receive money. • LINK CHECKER AND PHISHING DETECTOR Paste or share any link. ScanShield spots fake bank and government websites, look-alike letters, short links that hide the real website, risky domains, free-hosting pages and app (.apk) downloads. It follows short links to show where they really go. • SCAM MESSAGE CHECK Paste an SMS or chat message, or check a screenshot. ScanShield finds common scam stories (KYC update, electricity cut, parcel, job offer, lottery, wrong transfer, OTP, digital arrest, loan and investment fraud) and checks every link, phone number and UPI ID inside. • SAFE BROWSER Open risky pages in a locked browser: no downloads, no app installs, cookies cleared on close. What's new in 1.1.0 • Fixed: on newer Android phones, buttons and the bottom bar no longer hide behind the system navigation bar. • Safe browser: a website's bottom buttons now stay visible. • ScanShield now shows ads to stay free. Ads never appear on a scan result, so they can't be mistaken for a safety button. • In Europe and the UK you can change your ad choices anytime in Settings.
