Calendo: Day of the Week Trick

Which day of the week was November 9, 1989? With Calendo you’ll know in seconds – no calendar app needed. Learn the day of the week trick that memory athletes use, for any date from 1600 to 2399. THE DOOMSDAY METHOD, STEP BY STEP Calendar calculation is a real discipline at memory championships. It rests on John Conway’s doomsday rule: every year, 4/4, 6/6, 8/8, 10/10 and 12/12 share the same weekday. Know that one day, and you know the whole year. SIX STEPS TO MASTERY • Step 1: weekdays as numbers • Step 2: each month’s Doomsday, with memory hooks • Step 3: dates in the current year • Step 4: year codes 2000–2099 • Step 5: the four century anchors • Step 6: any date at all Each step opens with a short explanation and a worked example. Every step is unlocked from the start – no lives, no waiting. DOOMSDAY METHOD PRACTICE THAT REMEMBERS YOUR MISTAKES Keep mixing up May, or stumbling over the seventies? Training tracks every building block and puts half of its tasks right where you’re still unsure. “Step by step” mode shows which part of the doomsday method costs you time.
