OSC & WebSocket: phone sensors, pose tracking and control panels
Signal Rocket turns your phone into a realtime OSC and WebSocket data source for any desktop or media system that receives Open Sound Control or WebSocket.
Stream phone sensors, pose tracking, face tracking, and a custom control surface to your patch, show, or prototype — without locking you to one host app. Built for VJs, interactive installations, live visuals, workshops, and makers.
WHAT YOU CAN STREAM
• Sensors — accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, light, GPS, NFC, biometric trigger, plus microphone loudness and audio analysis
• Tracking — on-device camera ML: body / pose tracking, face tracking and face mesh, motion in frame, object detection, QR and barcode scanner
• Control surface — build custom control panels with faders, knobs, buttons, toggles, XY pads, multi-touch, text and feedback displays
• Bidirectional — send OSC / WebSocket out; receive feedback back into the app
TRANSPORT
• UDP OSC over Wi‑Fi on your local network
• Optional WebSocket (ws / wss) for OSC-like JSON streams
• Configurable target IP, ports, and send rate
• Project presets to switch whole stream setups quickly
WORKS WITH
Any software or hardware that accepts OSC or WebSocket — for example Resolume, Max/MSP, Pure Data, vvvv, Notch, TouchDesigner, and custom receivers or IoT endpoints. Use it for remote control, stage shows, museum interactives, classroom demos, and prototypes: everyone already has a phone on the same Wi‑Fi.
GET STARTED
1. Connect phone and computer (or receiver) to the same network
2. Set the receiver IP and OSC or WebSocket endpoint in Settings
3. Enable Sensors, Tracking, and/or Controllers on Home
4. Open an OSC / WebSocket input in your host app and watch the data arrive
Privacy-minded by design: data goes only to the endpoint you configure — not to our servers.
