It runs as a foreground recording with a notification, so it keeps going with the screen off. What happens if my phone closes the app while recording? The take is written safely as it records and is recovered the next time you open Tapewave. Can I use it as an audio cutter or MP3 cutter? Yes. Open an MP3 or any audio file, cut the part you want and save it as M4A or WAV. MP3 export is not offered. Can it convert video to MP3? It converts video to audio as M4A (AAC), which plays everywhere MP3 does. How do I make a ringtone? Open Ringtone maker, pick 5 to 40 seconds, add a fade and tap Save, then Set as default.
