Force Field Rally

The track is a straight line, which is exactly the problem. A steel ball rolls out from the left at a steady pace, and somewhere ahead the floor simply stops. You cannot steer it. What you can do is leave a force pad on the rails before it arrives. The pad throws the ball upward in a clean arc, over the pit, and back onto the track on the far side. Place it too early and the ball lands short. Place it too late and it never touches the pad. Each new track adds another gap and takes away a pad. No timer, no chase, just the arc and the moment you decide to release.
